Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 13, 2026

Farmlens is operated by Lens Analytics LLC ("Farmlens," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when people visit farmlens.io, use Farmlens, join our waitlist, communicate with us, or have property information included in the service.

1. Information We Collect

Account, contact, and communication information

  • Names and email addresses provided when someone creates an account, joins the waitlist, signs in, or contacts us.
  • Account status, onboarding progress, plan, subscription status, and preferences or support communications.
  • Authentication and session information, including account-bound hashed one-time passcodes and signed session tokens stored in browser local storage and a browser cookie.

Farm, property, and homeowner information

  • Farm areas, ZIP codes, map boundaries, address lists, contact status, and outcome information submitted or recorded by a Farmlens user.
  • Licensed, public-record, and derived property information, which may include property addresses and characteristics, owner names, owner age when supplied by a property-data provider, ownership and sale history, estimated value and equity, tenure, and ownership or financing indicators.
  • Aggregate U.S. Census household-size estimates associated with a geographic area. These estimates describe an area and are not represented as the actual household size of a particular property.
  • Scores, segments, signals, and outreach drafts generated from property information. Farmlens scoring is deterministic weighted analysis, not machine-learning scoring.

Billing information

  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected plan, subscription status, trial dates, and related billing events.
  • Farmlens does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Stripe collects and processes payment-card details directly.

Technical and diagnostic information

  • IP address and request information used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
  • Browser, device, page-navigation, performance, and error information used to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.
  • Farmlens does not currently use third-party advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers.

2. Sources of Information

We collect information from Farmlens users and website visitors; their browsers and devices; Stripe; Realie and public property records; aggregate U.S. Census data; and service providers that help us operate and secure the service.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, and provide customer support.
  • Process trials and subscriptions and provide access appropriate to an account billing state.
  • Import, organize, enrich, score, and display farm and property information.
  • Generate property-based outreach drafts when a user requests that feature.
  • Render maps and send authentication, account, billing, and farm-status emails.
  • Monitor reliability, investigate errors, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and protect Farmlens and its users.
  • Comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

4. Automated Analysis and AI-Assisted Drafts

Farmlens uses deterministic weighted calculations to rank properties and explain the signals contributing to a score. Machine learning is not used to determine property scores. When a user requests an outreach draft, Farmlens may send OpenAI an owner name, property address, segment, primary signal, years owned, and equity estimate so OpenAI can generate the requested text. OpenAI-generated text does not determine the Farmlens score.

5. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to provide and operate Farmlens:

  • Railway - application hosting, databases, background processing, and infrastructure.
  • Resend - delivery of authentication codes and account, billing, and farm-status emails.
  • Stripe - checkout, subscriptions, invoices, payment processing, and the customer billing portal.
  • Mapbox - map tiles and visualization; map requests may include geographic, device, and network information.
  • OpenAI - generation of user-requested outreach drafts using the property fields described above.
  • Sentry - error and performance monitoring. Farmlens configures Sentry not to collect default personally identifying information. API and background-worker events receive additional redaction of sensitive structured fields and free-text error data before they are sent.
  • Slack - minimized operational alerts used to monitor signups, billing events, farm-processing status, and service failures. These alerts may include event types, counts, timestamps, ZIP-level workflow status when operationally necessary, internal Farmlens agent identifiers, and masked external identifiers. They are designed to exclude full names, complete email addresses, beta codes, address lists, assessor parcel numbers (APNs), raw exception messages, and complete Stripe identifiers.
  • Realie - licensed parcel and property information obtained using geographic search criteria such as ZIP codes.
  • U.S. Census Bureau - aggregate geographic household estimates obtained using geographic queries.

We may also disclose information when required by law; to protect rights, safety, and service integrity; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Browser Storage and Tracking Choices

Farmlens stores a signed authentication token in browser local storage and a same-site browser cookie to keep users signed in and protect application routes. We use limited error and performance monitoring, but we do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell or share information for targeted advertising. Because Farmlens does not engage in those activities, the service does not currently respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account and farm information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. When a subscription is cancelled, we may retain the account and its farm relationships so the user can reactivate without losing prior work. Users and other individuals may request deletion by contacting us. We may retain billing, security, webhook, dispute, backup, and legal records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or as required by law. Licensed or public property records may remain in our shared property database after one user removes a property or account, particularly when another user also uses that record. We apply deletion requests subject to verification and applicable legal exceptions.

8. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, information about collection and disclosure, or restriction of certain processing. You may also have the right to opt out of a sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Farmlens does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against someone for exercising an applicable privacy right.

To submit a privacy request, contact [email protected] and describe the request. We may need to verify the requester's identity or authority before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. California Privacy Notice

For California residents, the categories collected during the preceding 12 months may include identifiers; customer and commercial information; internet or other electronic-network activity; property-location information; professional information; account credentials or session information; and inferences such as property scores and segments. The sources, purposes, and service-provider disclosures for those categories are described above. During the preceding 12 months, Farmlens has not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may exercise the right to know and access, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out, the right to limit certain uses, and the right to receive non-discriminatory treatment by contacting us as described above.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transmission, keyed hashing of one-time passcodes, signed sessions, access controls, monitoring, and separation of production and staging secrets. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

Farmlens is intended for professional real estate agents and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
